Qualification: Degree in fine arts (visual arts) or diploma/ certification in fine arts.

Preferable work experience: Minimum 1-year’ experience

Job Purpose:

Promotes and nurtures the creativity of all students by planning and tailoring a fine arts curriculum to meet the needs of students across all age groups.

Implement the fine arts curriculum both during term-time and vacation-time. Ensure that the regular curriculum for children fosters creativity with optimal, age appropriate exposure to different media, visual and creative arts.

Update knowledge and skills through on going professional development.

Duties:

  • Educate students by planning and developing courses of study according to Neev curriculum guidelines and school requirements.
  • To support teachers to incorporate and promote creativity throughout the entire curriculum.
  • To work with teachers in the classroom in delivering the fine arts curriculum.
  • To deliver in service training for teaching staff.
  • To train teachers in display techniques and to promote displays of a high quality in all branches.
  • Develop and present lesson plans and learning intentions.
  • To document the fine art curriculum.
  • To offer discovery programmes for students as part of the school day
  • To plan exhibitions celebrating student’s achievements.
  • To plan and conduct workshops/activities for children during vacations.
  • To travel to various branches within Bangalore as and when desired by the management/required by the organization.
  • Prepare resources to support delivery of the curriculum.
  • To be responsible for sourcing resources locally and on the Internet.
  • To maintain records of teaching to keep parents informed of student’s progress.
  • Network with specialists and external professionals to keep informed of new developments.
  • Plan and organize extra curricular visits to exhibitions.
  • Observe, monitor and assess students on-going progress.
  • Maintain good disciplinary order in the classroom.
  • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy educational environment.
