Neev School

Parent Community

In the Neev community, a strong bond between parents, educators, and children form the basis of the sacred triangle thereby creating an effective partnership rooted in mutual understanding, trust, respect, and shared responsibility for each child’s education.

Why is family-school partnership important?

At Neev, we recognize that families are their children’s first educators, and their involvement significantly enhances children’s learning. Research supports this, showing that effective schools with high levels of parental involvement see notable improvements in learning, motivation, attendance, and behavior of children.

We believe that the schools play an important role in nurturing academic growth and holistic development of children and families trust schools to provide educational foundations for their children’s future. At the same time, we acknowledge the pivotal role the families play in education. This understanding forms the basis of our belief in the importance of strong family-school partnerships.

Events and celebrations

Events and celebrations serve as a connection between home and school, offering an excellent opportunity for parent participation.

Each year, we witness enthusiastic and meaningful participation from our parents during events and celebrations at school; be it volunteering for the Parent choir during Christmas, setting up a Golu for our Dussehra celebrations, organizing a Fun fair during our Children’s Day celebration, or in read aloud sessions and during many more such events.

Throughout the year, all events are calendered in advance allowing parents to plan around their schedule to be able to volunteer for a few events. Parents and families stay informed about these events and actively contribute to making them special and meaningful for the children.

Expert talk for Parents

At Neev, we organize lecture series featuring experts in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) to collectively deepen our understanding of how to nurture the young minds under our care. This lecture series, launched for our parent community, covers a wide range of topics including the significance of independence, establishing norms and routines, setting boundaries, managing device usage, utilizing child-centric language, fostering connections through communication, the latest research on learning, the importance of play, and early development of independence in children, among others.

Expert visits by Parents

Volunteers from our parent cohort contribute during the various inquiries at school and serve as experts to discuss relevant topics from their fields with the children.

The School Management Committee

The School Management Committee is a body across the organization comprising of parent representatives from all 5 Neev Early Years Branches and Neev Academy (Early Years, Primary years, Middle Years and Senior School), members of the leadership team and students. The purpose of constituting this committee was to ensure an all round pesrpective of all stake holders. The endeavour is for our Parent Community to move from participation to deeper engagement strengthening the relationship between home and school to seeing greater impacts on teaching and learning of children.
