Theory of Knowledge (TOK) Exhibition

The theory of knowledge exhibition is an important milestone in the DP calendar, as it marks a stage where students display their metacognitive skills by engaging with knowledge questions, such as ‘What is the relationship between personal experience and knowledge?’, or ‘What role does imagination play in producing knowledge of the world?’ Students address a selected prompt via three objects. This year there were a variety of objects including several holy books, gauges and instruments, shells, original songs and paintings. The ToK exhibition is a community event, which includes parents, grandparents, teachers, friends and peers. Students engaged with their audience, showing them how the objects they have selected help illuminate the prompt. The ultimate aim of the exhibition was visible: to show how this subject, theory of knowledge, manifests in the world around us.
